Restaurant Triangl
This restaurant adjacent to the Small Festival Hall is a lunchtime refectory during the school year (not open during the school holidays). This should not however put you off popping by in the evening because the food is excellent. In the summer months the Triangel is open and run as a regular restaurant. The choice of dishes is not very extensive, but the dishes they do serve can all be highly recommended. You should definitely try the delicious strawberry dumplings. There are a few tables outside, so weather permitting you can enjoy your lunch in the fresh are. Mainly the younger generations frequent the Triangel despite its proximity to the Festival Hall, whose visitors seldom find their way here.

Republic
Authentic and urban is all the rage – high ceilings and a puristic design inspire a feeling of freedom and openness in a metropolitan atmosphere. The Republic Café is not just a restaurant but also a café/restaurant, bar/club and a radio concept and its opening hours, 8 am until 1 am. (Fri & Sat until 4 am.), also make it a communication platform for different cultures and art forms reflecting society as it is today.
When entering the restaurant one is reminded of the Italo-American coffee house culture, modelled on the establishments opened by Sicilian emigrants in New York in the 1920s. Urban in style symbolising freedom and possibility of being able to achieve your goals, combined with Italian coffee house culture. The unusual choice of coffees and a selection of aromatic and freshly prepared meals, which are served late into the night, fill the restaurant with an Italian flair. On warm summer evenings the restaurant’s garden, enhanced by local artists, is a meeting place for communicative people from all walks of life.
“Simply live” – is the motto from 8 pm. onwards at the already legendary and newly renovated bar as you sip a cultivated after-work-drink in typical American bar atmosphere.
The club-scene here is unbridled and unconventional. National and international artists are in the throws of reviving the club culture in Salzburg. Numerous performances take place, played by different artists from all over the world and from different cultures who are here as ambassadors for the cause of solidarity and to spread a message of living together in harmony and mutual understanding.
